The 2009 winner, Chuck Stewart, received the award as part of the Neshui Ertegun Jazz Hall of Fame induction ceremony on November 20th, 2008. The ceremony took place in Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola at the Jazz @ Lincoln Center facilities. Along with the award presentation, a gallery show of Chuck’s images, entitled “Looking at the Music”, covered an entire wall of the Frederick P. Rose Hall. Congratulations to Chuck and a big “thank you” to our friends at Jazz @ Lincoln Center!
